"Paris Reelfest"
Mar 28-29, Paris, TX
Awards @"Plaza"Commmunity Theater

If you're a an avid bass angler, you already know Texas is the place to be in the early spring. The "Paris Reelfest" will not disappoint its name as you'll be reeling in big bass all event long! Reelfest anglers will get to choose between 4 of the areas larger lakes, 6 smaller to medium size lakes, and several rivers in search of the next Toyota Share-a-lunker. The nearby brand new lake Bois D'Arc is already becoming lunker factory, which is why it may get most of the attention. However, this event can be won on any of the established waters that have been known to produce giants for decades.

Consider coming to the state for the nearby Bassmaster Classic the weekend prior, and then making the short 2-hour drive over to Paris to join us for the party at the Paris Reelfest.

The Closing Ceremony Festival will be held in downtown Paris, TX, and our KAS Awards presentation will be at the historic "Plaza" Paris Community Theatre.

The event is hosted by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and beautiful Lamar County, TX. While in town you can enjoy great restaurants, lodging and other outdoor opportunities that the family might want to take part in. Whether you take a walk or bike ride on the popular Trail de Paris, or visit the playground and fields at Culbertson Park, you'll at some point want to get a picture with the Eiffel Tower replica that stands at 65ft tall.

"Paris Reelfest Eligible Water"
Map of all "core" bodies of water anglers can use to begin their search!

Eligible Core Bodies of Water **

LAKES
Bois D'Arc {} Bonham {} Coffee Mill {} Crockett {} Crook Pat Mayse {} Jim Chapman {} Big Creek Lake {} Hugo (OK) {} Lake Gibbons (Gambill Wildlife Refuge)

 RIVERS
Red River {} Sulphur River

** including all free flowing canals, creeks & rivers feeding in. When scouting (online or in person) track all tributaries upstream from one of the core bodies of water listed above until you hit any of the following man-made obstacles - solid or earthen dam, or road, culvert or pipe etc that you cannot kayak under/over. Any of those points are hard KAS boundaries. However, a "spillway" or "lowhead" type dam is legal in KAS and anglers can fish & access above & below them. They are just "running the river" and are different from "solid or earthen" dams that have water flowing under the dam via a pipe or drain (think neighborhood or farm ponds, private lakes etc) or through larger outflows or turbines on larger public lake dams. If the water above a non-spillway type dam is legal in KAS it will be marked and listed as one of your "core" bodies of water on this page/map. If not, then it is not legal for the event.
Anglers must access "legally" & "publicly." If you find any water, or access, you feel may not be covered by the interactive map, preview video, or rules standards please contact the KAS Tournament Director prior to the event for clarification or risk being DQ'd if it is later deemed to be not eligible. For help determining "public" access reference the Farwide Flowchart
