Broodstock II

   Sept 12-13 | Franklin, PA
   Awards @ Barrow-Civic Theater

GoPro_cyan_Logo_edited.png
The amount of incredible water in the Keystone State can be overwhelming. However, we've narrowed it down for you because few realize just how special the Oil Region, in the northwest corner of the state, really is. It's not just the smallmouth in the Allegheny, but the incredible largemouth fishing in the surrounding lakes. Broodstock II will have one major storyline heading into it, green or brown, running water or flat water. Either way it shakes out, we know one thing is certain - Broodstock II "An Allegheny Adventure" is a grand finale that you won't want to miss!

This open finale boasts bigger payouts, and prizes that have been held back to
make this one as special as possible, with a 10K GoPro Guarantee 1st Place Payout! We'll also be crowning our 2025 AOY and the TMOY at this event, with prize packages already at $10,000+ and $5000+ respectively, with a Modern Buggy overland camping trailer ($9,000) being the grand prize for AOY.

Be sure to take in all the Oil Region has to offer, with numerous hiking trails, scenic overlooks, waterfalls & plenty of history, art & culture to go along with tremendous lodging, restaurants & other modern day comforts for the family.

Beautiful downtown Franklin is where the KAS Closing Ceremony festival will be held, complete with food, music, kids zone, games, vendors, Toyota Truck demos and more. Adjacent to the festival in the park is the historic Barrow-Civic Theatre where the Awards Presentation and the final results will be announced. This event will change a few angler's lives and change the course of the KAS forever! â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

"Broodstock ll Eligible Water"

Map of all "core" bodies of water anglers can use to begin their search!

Interactive Eligible Water Map >>>>

Eligible Core Bodies of Water **

         CORE LAKES

Arthur {} Glade {} Shenango River Reservoir {} Wilhelm

Pymatuning {} Conneaut {} Woodcock Creek Lake {}

Tamarack

          CORE RIVERS & CREEKS

Allegheny {} Clarion {} French Creek

** including all other free flowing canals, creeks & rivers feeding in. When scouting (online or in person) track all tributaries upstream from one of the core bodies of water listed above until you hit any of the following man-made obstacles -solid or earthen dam, or road, culvert or pipe etc that you cannot kayak under/over. Any of those points are hard KAS boundaries. However, a "spillway" or "lowhead" type dam is legal  in KAS and anglers can fish & access above & below them. They are just "running the river" and are different from "solid or earthen" dams that have water flowing under the dam via a pipe or drain (think neighborhood or farm ponds, private lakes etc) or through larger outflows or turbines on larger public lake dams. If the water above a non-spillway type dam is legal in KAS it will be marked and listed as one of your "core" bodies of water on this page/map. If not marked legal, then it is illegal for the event.

Anglers must access "legally" & "publicly." If you find any water, or access, you feel may not be covered by the interactive map, preview video, or rules standards please contact the KAS Tournament Director prior to the event for clarification or risk being DQ'd if it is later deemed to be not eligible. For help determining "public" access reference the GIS MAP Flowchart
