Why call it "Broodstock?" Essentially Broodstock is out "Classic," "Redcrest" or simply "Championship" but like all our other stops we wanted to give it its own unique name. If you're an angler you may have heard this term before, but it's both a play on the historic, wild and crazy "Woodstock" and the actual fishing term "Broodstock," which is what biologists call the big fish they catch and use to spawn the offspring in the hatcheries. Essentially they just want the biggest and best genetics and, well, we want the biggest and best finale so I guess it works!
